These data tools were developed to help users understand the workforce in Ohio, with a focus on Ohio's in-demand occupations, in partnership with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Office of Workforce Transformation, Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Ohio Education Research Center.

Workforce Supply


The Workforce Supply tool provides information about graduates from programs that support in-demand occupations in Ohio, to inform users about the pipeline of supply of workers to industry. Occupation information is available for the State of Ohio as a whole, and for individual JobsOhio Regions.

Audience
  • Business

Businesses can use the tool to identify the number of skilled workers available in key occupations on an annual basis. Employers may also use the tool to identify the relative earnings, and most critically, obtain specific contact information for educational programs that train individuals.

  • Higher Education Institutions

Higher Education administrators can use the tool to identify similar programs, and coordinate degree and certificate offerings.

  • Job Seekers

Job seekers will find postsecondary programs related to occupations they may be interested in pursuing.

Employment Projections

The Employment Projections tool provides information about the growth in job openings over time by occupation, as well as the number of job openings and median wages. The tool includes a data visualization graphing job growth by wages, as well as a table of information about each occupation that can be sorted by any variable. Data is presented statewide or by JobsOhio Region, and can be presented by industry.

Career service professionals can identify the job openings, job growth, and wages for an occupation in any region of Ohio. In addition, users can identify occupations by industry.

Education administrators can identify large or growing occupations in their region when planning for technical and other education programs.

  • Job Seekers

Job seekers will find the number of job openings, salary information, and rate of growth of occupations in their region.
